Ades & Martin's Wedding, Intimate not in numbers, but by feeling

Ades and Martin, a pair of ducks that made their wedding theirs—intimate and special, in their own way.

During planning, Ades and Martin wanted an intimate feel to their wedding, but with more than 150 guests and Baguio Country Club’s Cordilleran Convention Hall as their venue, by definition, one wouldn’t exactly call it intimate.

But it was.

Regardless of the guest count and their venue, Ades and Martin made it feel intimate.

The morning of their day was slow, intentional, and relaxed. It was time spent with the calm of the morning, moments with family, and having short yet meaningful moments with their suppliers.

Ades took her time alone and soaked in every moment, embracing the day with grace and kindness. She greeted everyone who had arrived in her cottage, and talked to those who were there before her make-up began. She made everyone feel welcome.

All the while, Martin took the time to have brunch with his friends at Hill Station to start the day. It was filled with laughter and the warmth of those closest to Martin, their bond with one another creating and setting the mood for it all.

Once their entourage had begun to arrive and gather, we were nothing but delighted by the different kinds of people in their lives.

Although yes, with every wedding, the circles of the bride and groom will always be different people who come from various times in their lives, but it’s always heartwarming to see how people connect and become a part of each other’s lives, getting to be a part of something so special.

They smiled, laughed, and cried with their loved ones, and the sight of it all, as someone who works at the sidelines for their wedding day, it’s always nice to stop and pause to see how precious these moments are. They are to be cherished, kept close to your heart; Ades and Martin didn’t fail to do so, and we felt it with them.

Their morning eventually came to an end, and the calm of the morning was replaced by the bustling arrival of guests at St. Ignatius de Loyola Chapel, filled with excitement and anticipation as the couple finally saw each other and exchanged their I do's.

Ades and Martin’s love spoke through their words, and the moments they shared, captured by the camera and not. The smiles on their faces, the loving and content look in their eyes that only they shared and can only ever understand, were the kind that only those who have truly felt the moment can know.

They’re married, and with the love they shared, they were able to make everything about their wedding feel intimate—to feel close, together, and a part of the moment, intended for everyone to share it with them. From the styling and personal touches to the venue, their vision ensured that how it felt to them, and everyone else, mattered.

Ades and Martin’s wedding looked like your typical wedding if you only looked at their guest count, but the feeling of it was not. It was heartwarming, with the heartfelt intention to make everything feel that the day was theirs, and for it to be so was to have it the way these two ducks wanted it to be—intimate.
